Midwife Matters

Pregnancy preparations, women's health, and care options

Edith Ziegler, CNM

Health Center for Women Clinic

I have been a midwife for 26 years.  I was a nurse for 9 years and worked in med surg, labor and delivery, post partum.  I also worked overseas for one and a half years in Thailand where I worked in refugee camps in expanded role nursing.  When I considered all of the areas of nursing I decided I liked working with women in the pregnancy cycle the best, so midwifery was the best fit for this.  I like the day to day clinic of prenatal care and the exciting times of labor and delivery.

I really enjoy seeing women grow and change with pregnancy and becoming confident and capable mothers.

My interests outside of work include:  movies, books and plants ( more growing and changing things)

A fun fact about me is that  I have circled the globe once, and spent one year traveling before going to grad school.
